RESIDENCY AND CO-PRODUCTION PILOT

MONOM's residency and co-production pilot program is open all year round, inviting innovators from various disciplines to explore the possibilities of spatial sound technologies and practices using the 4DSOUND system and instrument.

4DSOUND projects can now be translated to stereo or binaural headphone output and to any multi-channel speaker system. What this means for the artists wanting to work with us, is the possibility to release the work digitally as well as the opportunity to license this work as a standalone listening experience, and to tour the work live anywhere there is a multi-channel speaker system.

We are expanding on our European Spatial Sound Exchange program, to build a community and network of partner studios and venues locally and internationally that are interested in developing and exhibiting pure listening experiences, with the aim to bring awareness to spatial sound as an emerging artistic medium and to the art of listening itself and provide an additional source of income for artists.

If you are accepted in this residency you will be able to develop an original work, train in spatial sound composition and access the 4DSOUND license for a year. Now it’s possible to compose in 4DSOUND at home in headphones, meaning you can better prepare ahead of your residency and after your residency and training in 4DSOUND composition you can continue to expand on your spatial sound practice from anywhere.

The works selected will have the possibility to be added to MONOM's spatial sound archive.

If you are accepted into this program, MONOM offers a 50% contribution towards the development costs. For more details, please refer to the Info PDF
