RESO KIKNADZE

Reso Kiknadze was born and raised in the notorious 1960s of Tbilisi, Georgia. After finishing his classical philology studies at the Tbilisi State University, the phase of television appearances with a big band and several festival shows amongst the Tbilisi Conservatory Quintet quickly followed. Making his first and most important compositional development under Micheil Shugliashvili (1941-1996). Furthermore he studied at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire, composition and Georgian traditional music, and was a founding member of the improvisation ensemble "Nuova Sonanza", collaborated with Butoh dance company 'Tatoeba - Theatre Dance Grotesque" and been awarded composition prizes such as 'Marie-Louise-Imbusch-Stiftung' in 1993, and 'Neue Akademie Braunschweig' 1997, continued with MA studies at Musikhochschule Lübeck and started 2000 a collaboration with the contemporary dance company ‘TanzOrt Nord’ („Maria Magdalena“, „Cumulus“ and „DisTanz“). From 2008 on he became an assistant professor at the Ilia State University in Tbilisi, whilst still teaching Electronics at the Musikhochschule Lübeck as well as saxophone and improvisation at the Lübecker Musikschule. Returning most of his activities back to Georgia from 2011 on, and becoming Rector of the Tbilisi State Conservatoire for last 8 years, Kiknadze’s current life continues in various formations of jazz, contemporary music, free improvisation, both as saxophone-player and computer musician; he is co-author in many projects including dance, visual arts, poetry, theater, with at least the same intensity as before. Having him performing with Mess_Montage on the unique 4DSOUND of MONOM should merge any audiophiles dreams with nowadays technical reality.


NIKA MACHAIDZE

Nika Machaidze aka 'Nikakoi' also known as "Erast", is a key figure of Georgian electronic music, which made him a big influence in the international IDM sphere and solidified his pioneer status as the co-founder of the community named 'Goslab' - throughout the 1990s.

Back then Machaidze started his legacy by combining digital noises and outer world rhythms with melancholic melodies (often inspired by Georgian folk music).

His music can be found on institutional labels such as Laboratory Instict, WMF Records or Mango & Sweet Rice.


POST INDUSTRIAL BOYS

Despite the project name 'Post Industrial Boys' aka Gogi Dzodzuashvili is basically a one-man-show. His roots, being a musician from Tbilisi and part of the Goslab artist collective together with TBA /Natalie Beridze, catapulted him during the 90s era right onto international grounds . So far Post Industrial Boys released two albums on Thomas Brinkmann's Max Ernst label. But with Unintended, Post Industrial Boys returned with their first album in 10 years. His music s an intimate and reflective collection of songs produced in a unique style – part pop, part electronica.

MESS_MONTAGE

Mess_Montage is an experimental electronic music project by the Berlin based Georgian composer, performer and educator Tornike Margvelashvili. He merges folk chant inspired drone-y soundscapes with atmospheric field recordings and minimalist modular synthesis. After teaching electronic music at several institutions in Tbilisi, he was an official participant of the Red Bull Music Academy 20th anniversary camp in Berlin. In 2019 he decided to make his Berlin move, where he currently studies Sound Arts at UDK.

Otherworldly support will be provided in form of live and DJ sets by label founders COBERT, Luka Nakashidze, Zaz & LAB93.
