_COLORS OF NOW

« Colours of Now » is a collective of musicians formed in early 2020 during quarantine in Berlin.

The project came during the first lockdown when five talented musicians decided to create a Quintet called « Colours of Now » , and wrote music around the uncertainty of the human condition during a pandemic, colliding 4 different instruments: Piano, Viola, Classical Guitar and Vibrating Steel Sheets.

The self-titled album, produced and mixed by Romain Azzaro, explores the different shades of sound in a time where uncertainty leads to the present moment.

Colours of Now @MONOM presents the long-awaited debut concert of the quintet collective, whose debut self-titled album was released last March on Rouge Mécanique Musique. Extracts from this first release written around the different shapes of sound in isolation and uncertainty, as well as songs from the new album they are currently writing will be performed on the space's 4DSOUND system.

Featuring Video Artist Aaron Kulik collaborating on the cover and music video from the Album.

Aaron will present a special performance combining live experimentation with both microscopes and macro lenses. He will use his camera essentially as an "instrument", simultaneously improvising with the Colours of Now musicians.

There will be two sessions and, for all purchased tickets, an after-show at the MONOM Bar (with its NEXO Sound System fully reconfigured) with guests Dj’s from 23h till late.
